For people at risk of losing their housing because of financial hardship, we provide direct rent assistance, paying property management based on the availability of funds, to help prevent displacement from their current home.
Most housing crises do not start with an eviction notice. They start with a missed paycheck, a medical bill, a car repair, something that throws a tight budget off balance. Eviction Prevention exists for that moment, before someone loses their home rather than after.
When a household is at risk because of financial hardship, we pay rent directly to the property management company, based on the funds available at the time. We also connect the household with other Frieda Homes programs so the same crisis does not repeat.
